What is BVOP™ Scrum Master Certification?
BVOP™ Scrum Master Certification is a certification process for a Scrum Master role created by Business Value-Oriented Principles Ltd. in 2018.
BVOP™ certified Scrum specialists receive the title of BVOP™ Certified Scrum Master, Business Value-Oriented Scrum Master (BVOSM).
The organization is currently renaming the title to BVOP™ Senior Scrum Master title.
What is a Scrum Master?
Scrum Master is not a profession, but a role held in the Agile team.
This means that the employee's profession does not matter and can be any. But in the Scrum team, the role is called Scrum Master and this function has a set of responsibilities and activities.
Most often the role of Scrum Master is taken over by technicians, but it often happens today that Scrum Master is also a business-oriented person without a technical background.
Certification process
Business Value-Oriented Principles Ltd. has a specially developed online platform at BVOP.org
On this website, candidates first create an account and can then take fully online automated exams in the form of a test with questions and marking options.
After successfully taking the online exam, candidates automatically and immediately receive their certificate in their profile.
Features of the exam
The BVOP™ Certified Senior Scrum Master title is awarded after indicating a minimum of 75% (or more) correct answers to a total of 60 questions (currently).
Candidates have no more than 60 seconds (one minute) to mark the correct answer to each question. Thus, the total maximum time for all questions is 60 minutes (one hour).
The exam includes questions from all materials published in the BVOP Agile Guide.
BVOP™ Agile Guide
The BVOP™ Agile Guide is the official preparation guide that candidates need to know (with in-depth knowledge) in order to pass their exam.
The BVOP™ Agile Guide is also the guide to the certificates for the other Agile roles of BVOP™ (Product Owner and BVOP™ Agile Director, https://ossalumni.org/bvop-certfied-agile-director/).
Certificate validity
The BVOP Scrum Master certificate has no validity period. The document does not need to be renewed. BVOP certified professionals do not have to re-pay fees or take additional exams over time.
